Topic of the Workshop: What does "open access network" mean?

The workshop will be an independent afternoon section of the first day of the conference.

The workshop is intended for representatives of local and central governments, the managers and economists.

It will focus on the following issues:

• What does the term "open optical network" mean?
• What benefits does the construction of optical access networks bring to users, network operators, local communities and to the whole national economy?
• What are the possible scenarios for constructing optical access networks?
• Ways of calculating expenses and options for financing construction and operation of optical access networks.
