Title of Abstract: Stream of Variation Methodologies for Multistage Manufacturing Processes

In a multistage manufacturing process (MMP), the manufacturing variation is accumulated from the first station to the last station. It is a challenging task to model the variation and its propagation in such a process. Furthermore, engineering knowledge and advanced statistics need to be integrated to develop effective methodologies for variation analysis, root cause diagnosis, and variation reduction control. The presentation summarizes the research accomplishments in those aspects, and also present some future research topics and challenges in this area.
