Title of Abstract: Statistical Control for Sampling of Metallurgical Material

The study´;s aim was to assess the re-sampling rate of metallurgical material at a precious metal refinery. Three different methods had to be evaluated, this included the existing means comparison method, a proposed alternative model utilising distribution fitting techniques and a non-linear model developed by an external consultant. The objective was to assess these three methods to determine which would be the most appropriate for the existing sampling method in order to obtain a 5% re-sampling rate.
