In many instances the output from a computer experiment is one or more curves, often depending on time. The functional(or longitudinal) nature of the output(and possibly the input) raises issues about the design of the experiment and the analysis of the resulting data. Two applications, both sensitivity and uncertainty analyses, will be used to illustrate some of the issues that may arise.
