Problem-Solving Strategy in Food Research

Working in the multi-disciplinary environment is a challenge and a chance for a Statistician. The objective of this presentation is to highlight some aspects of our experience in the collaboration with people having very different competencies (Physicists, chemists, biologists, food technologists, nutritionists, …). The presentation will be focussed on the statistical approach/strategy and the development of appropriate methodologies used to solve practical problems starting with the analysis of the problem and ending with the setting up of concrete actions. Different real examples will be used to illustrate the presentation.
