How to get to the ISBIS-2010 venue (Portoroz/Portorose)

ISBIS-2010 TRANSPORTATION

The organisers have engaged the transportation services of the company Eminenta Group, represented by Mr. Domen Grah, domen@eminenta.eu , mobile phone +386 41376964, fax +386 1 5110637  

Arrival and departure transfers by shuttle bus service or private transfer are offered from the following airports, during the period 4th, 5th and 6th July for arrivals and 9th, 10th and 11th July 2010 for departures.

1. Jože Pučnik Airport (commonly known as Brnik Airport), Ljubljana, Slovenia (95 minutes, 145 km)

Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport is the largest airport in Slovenia, and is situated 23km northwest of the centre of Ljubljana. Its outstanding position at the crossroads of Europe, has given it a special role in the family of key European regional airports. The Slovenian national air carrier is Adria Airways.

Delegates can book their arrival/departure transfers by completing the TRANSFER ORDER FORM on-line.

Possible forms of transfer are:

• Shuttle bus transfer: 25 EUR per person (max. waiting time 1 hour, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)


• Private transfer: 130 EUR per car (1 - 3 persons in car, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)

The company reserves the right to combine transfers for participants of ISBIS conference with maximum waiting time 1 hour.

Our services will be made by modern cars and vans.

Car type: Volkswagen Passat, Volkswagen Sharan or similar

Van type: Mercedes Benz Viano (7 seats), Citroen Jumper, Peugeot Boxer, Opel Vivaro (8 seats)

Important: Transfer requests must be submitted by June 25, 2010.

If you book a transfer, your English-speaking driver will meet you at the ISBIS-2010 TRANSFER DESK located in the Arrival Hall of Jože Pučnik Airport.

PLEASE NOTE: Only private transfer is available from Trieste and Venice airport. Your English-speaking driver will meet you in the arrival hall after the customs with a sign with your full name.

2. Ronchi Airport, Trieste,Italy (45 minutes, 80 km)

• Private transfer: 90 EUR per car (1 - 3 persons in car, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)
• Private transfer: 110 EUR per van (4 - 8 persons in van, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)

3. Marco Polo Airport, Venice, Italy (120 minutes, 210 km )

• Private transfer: 160 EUR per car (1 - 3 persons in car, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)
• Private transfer: 180 EUR per van (4 - 8 persons in van, price of one-way transfer, VAT included)

Departure times for pre-booked transfers from the hotel to the airports will be announced 24 hours prior to the time of departure at the "Eminenta ISBIS-2010 Desk" in the conference venue, GH Bernardin.

PAYMENT FOR TRANSFERS

Upon receipt of the Eminenta Group invoice, transfer payment in EUR may be made by

  Payment by credit card or cash must be guaranteed with a valid credit card indicated on ISBIS-2010 REGISTRATION FORM

Confirmation As soon as the TRANSFER ORDER FORM is received, reservations will be completed based on requests and subject to availability. You will receive confirmation via e-mail.

TRANSFER CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancellations of transfers or alterations to transfers may be made with no charge, by notifying Mr. Domen Grah from Eminenta Group domen@eminenta.eu in writing or by email no later than June 25, 2010.

After that date (June 25, 2010) an administrative fee of EUR 15 will be charged.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

Arriving by car
The capital city Ljubljana is 30 minutes by road from the Airport, linked by the E 64 highway.
Portoroz is about 90 minutes by car from the Airport, linked by the A1 highway.
Being close to Italy and Croatia, Portoroz is very easily accessible by car.
It is only 32km from the Italian border and 30km from the A1 Slovenian highway.
Portoroz can be reached from the direction Ljubljana/Trieste-Koper-Izola-Portoroz.

Arriving by rail
Almost every important tourist destination is served by modern and comfortable trains. Connections abroad are also excellent: you can travel to Slovenia on direct lines from Italy, Austria, Hungary, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Germany, Switzerland and Serbia. Train travel is convenient and inexpensive.The Lubljana railway station is within walking distance of the city centre. See Slovenian Railways.
The closest railway station to Portoroz is 15km away, at Koper.

Arriving by bus
It is also possible to reach Slovenia from neighbouring countries by bus. International bus transport is well-organized and relatively inexpensive.
The Portoroz bus stop is located in the centre of Portoroz.

Arriving by sea
A boat service runs between Portoroz, Piran, Strunjan, Izola, Koper and Ankaran. Boat trips are available to Venice, Brioni, Croatia, as well as a number of panoramic trips. The Portoroz Marina is 2km from the town centre, the Izola Marina 7km, and the Koper Marina and Port 16km. The sea distance between Portoroz and Venice is only 88km (Lignano 35km, Grado 24km).

How to get to Ljubljana

To get from Ljubljana Joze Pucnik Airport situated 23 km northwest of the Ljubljana centre is also possible to take a bus for 5 EUR (payable on bus).
