Airport info

The major gateway to Athens, Greece is the Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos" (AIA) , situated approximately 33 km southeast of Athens. This modern state-of-the-art airport was built in 2001, before the Olympic Games. To get to/from the airport, the cheapest option is the bus. You may use the Express Airport Bus (3 lines serving exclusively the Airport: E93, E94, E95, E96), or KTEL: 2 express lines a) Athens Airport - Markopoulo and b) Athens Airport - Rafina. Taxi is a more expensive option. More information about ground transportation may be found under Transportation on the AIA Web site.
